Giant Huntsman® Grill Cover

My only issue with the Giant Huntsman is the cover. If you put the shelves on you can barely get the cover over them. I feel like every time I am putting the cover on I’m about to slice it or rip it open on the sides. The shelves have a few sharp spots anyway but add how tight the fit is on the cover and sooner or later it’s going to tear. Please make a larger cover that will go over the shelves.

p.s. I absolutely love the grill just need a better fitting cover to protect it.

After much studying and thinking I finally pulled the trigger on the Spider Giant Huntsman. It is a beast, weighing in at 190 lbs. That spoke volumes to me as far as quality of its build, it hasn't disappointed! As big and heavy as it is it moves around on its base and casters like a heavyweight boxing champion. Having a heavy duty chassis was very important to me because this beast's destiny is to serve duty on the back of a competition BBQ trailer currently being built. I have cooked wings, chicken halves, tomahawk ribeyes, burgers and more so far.
But its primary duty will be to cook chicken for competition. And so far it has done an outstanding job! But I will say the burgers that I cooked last night are some of the best that I ever had!
The pit lights quickly, especially after learning that the mass of metal requires ample charcoal to reach thermal equilibrium. This pit will hold a steady heat set on the Venom controller like no other pit that I have cooked on! Get it hot and it will stay hot for the duration!
The flavor that develops under the massive lid is outstanding! The lid is heavy but has a spring assisted hinge that makes it open easily. Grab the handle, pull it down until the latch automatically grabs and the lid is sealed tight upon closure due to the oven grade gasket around the edge of the lid.
I am anxiously awaiting the completion of my new competition trailer and put this pit to the real test in BBQ competition.
In the mean time, practice will be lots of fun! 5 stars is not enough for this pit! Great job Spider!
