The Huntsman® Side Shelves

I purchased The Huntsman as an anniversary gift for my husband. While the grill itself is a tank and may be a game changer in BBQ, company customer service is non-existent (I’m starting to think these guys do this as a side-hustle from their engineering jobs and there’s actually no corporate HQ).

In short, we received the wrong product order from the Chinese manufacturer/distributor (which is a problem in and of itself, but I digress)… We received two Next Level Cooking boxes and did not receive the shelves box (we were supposed to receive one Next Level box and the shelves box). Additionally, the hinge pin was doubled by the Chinese manufacturer (there were two hinge pins jammed into lid hinge instead of one), so it would not release from the hinge lid. My husband actually had to take the lid hinge to a professional tool shop to have it removed because we could not get a hold of the company (this was clearly a manufacturing error).

I contacted customer service twice about the problems via the webpage and it’s been crickets… No email response from the company, no phone call, etc.. For a $2K product, this is completely unacceptable and teeters a line of fraud and unethical business practice. Regardless of how good this grill is the customer service has been completely pathetic and equally frustrating.

Would be nice to have a cover that will go on with the side shelves up so you can keep utensils hanging. But regardless, these are a necessary add on.

I should have reviewed more Youtube 'how to'. Takes a heck of a lot more charcoal mass than I anticipated. But does save it if not used. Still lot of trouble whit iphone connectivity. Is on and off with good band width. But after the third go, finally getting the hang of it.

The side shelves were a great accessory for my Giant Huntsman. The assembly was quick and easy and are large enough to handle anything I need to have right with me during a cook.

The shelves are a quality addition. Easy to install, sturdy materials, no reason to not add them!
