The Kettle Grill Evolved

I have received and put together my Huntsman along with all the options. I first seasoned and then commenced to grilling Carne Asada which came out perfect. The gooey sticky mess was a snap to clean off as I seasoned the unit to perfection.
This no doubt will be my last grill as it is robust and built to last a lifetime and undoubtedly be used by one of my kids or grandkids someday.
Thank you for this cost effective grill! It’s much better at a fraction of the cost of a Kamado or Egg.

I’m 6’2” and decided to get the lift kit with my Huntsman, since the standard height seemed a bit low for my back. It turned out to be a great choice — the lift kit brings the grill up to the perfect height for comfortable cooking and makes a big difference when spending time at the grill.

Ordered one of these and put on a 22 inch performer. So far have cooked ribs, chuck roast, tri tip, and pork butt. It’s worked phenomenal so far and very happy with the purchase. Miles took good care of us through the ordering process, and even answered questions after hours. I would highly recommend.

I've had a Weber 22" Kettle Performer for years. I've always loved the indirect grilling option it provided. The Huntsman not only lets you grill indirectly but with the multilevel grilling configurations, ceramic plates in the next level accessory kit and Venom temperature regulator with bluetooth app allows you to effortlessly do slow cooking and even smoking. Not to mention it is built like a tank-couldn't be happier!

I was told the reason my spider venom kept giving off error messages was due to my probes. I bought new ones and it fixed the issues. Apparently the probes has about a 2 year life cycle.

Simply put, this is the best damn grill on the market. Not only does it sear and smoke, it can do that with a range from low and slow to thermonuclear. This spider flat out cooks. Best of all, it does so smartly. By that I mean it’s an actually wi-fi enabled smart grill with set it and forget it temperature control. So while your neighbor fusses to no end with his metric ton of red or green ceramic kamado, the huntsman lights in minutes and holds a temperature for hours, or raises and/or lowers it in minutes if you need to adjust your cook. All this without being a fragile giant piece of pottery or needing to even be next to it. You can grill from your phone if you want. So go watch the game or cut the grass. You don’t need to stress. This thing is built like a tank and could likely even take a tank round and keep on cooking for an entire platoon of people. The build quality is en fuego. Every part of it from the venom temperature adjustment unit, to the spring loaded lid is thoughtfully designed and made of quality materials. The Huntsman makes a Weber look like a child’s toy by comparison. My neighbor won’t stop asking about it and he has everything to include green Egg, Weber gas and charcoal grillls and a smoker. More importantly, family and friends will love everything that comes off of it!
One piece of advice, go ahead and order the battery, side shelves and grill lifts to make it a dash taller. You won’t regret it. I ordered the lower shelf and ceramic pieces too, but t l be honest, I surprisingly haven’t needed either of them. I’ve cooked a tomahawk steak, burgers, salmon, chicken thighs, veggies and a whole chicken to perfection at temps ranging from 250 to over 550 with no issue. Stop researching. This grill is the best of both worlds, the love child of a Weber and a Bastard grill, and its offspring is a beautiful giant spider that will conquer the grilling world!

I love the build quality, unmatched. Its a Smart Weber Kettle on steroids. 2 cooks in first 24 hrs, no problems at all. Best advice, BE PATIENT when pre-heating. You’re heating up alot of metal and it takes time to get steady temps, not too long. Very efficient once temp is steady. I’ve had at least 30 grills and smokers over the last 25 years or so, this one is right up there near the top. It may be at the top, pretty original idea when coming up with this considering it has the front door and thick metal build. Everything is overbuilt which is a good thing, from the bolts, the actual body, the grates, the lid lift assist, the handle, everything. I LOVE THIS COOKER. Its convenience and build quality and accessories are enough to keep it both interesting enough to use over the years and as ive said, the front door is great to use. Quality machines like this make it enjoyable and a pleasure to use for years and years to come. Its also a great conversation piece when company comes over.
