Hot Honey Pepperoni & Jalapeño Pizza

Hot Honey Pepperoni & Jalapeño Pizza

Pepperoni pizza is already a game day favorite. Add jalapeños, a drizzle of hot honey, and a crispy crust cooked over charcoal, and you’ve got something worth gathering around.

This recipe pairs bubbling mozzarella and savory pepperoni with jalapeño heat, then finishes with Parmesan and Melinda’s Hot Honey. The Spider Grills Huntsman® and Ceramic Pizza Oven Attachment bring it all together with real fire flavor and a beautifully toasted crust.

Store-bought dough keeps the prep simple, and the pizza cooks in approximately 7–9 minutes once your grill and pizza stone are fully heated. Whether you’re feeding friends before kickoff or settling in for a game at home, put this one on the menu.

Ingredients

Use your preferred amounts of sauce, cheese, and toppings.

  • 1 Trader Joe’s pizza dough

  • Pizza sauce

  • Shredded mozzarella cheese

  • Pepperoni

  • Diced jalapeños

  • Parmesan cheese

  • Melinda’s Hot Honey

  • Olive oil

  • Flour, for your work surface

Equipment and Fuel

  • Spider Grills Huntsman®

  • Spider Grills Ceramic Pizza Oven Attachment

  • Ceramic pizza stone

  • Jealous Devil charcoal

Instructions

1. Let the dough rest

Remove the pizza dough from the refrigerator and place it in a glass container. Cover and let it sit at room temperature for about 2 hours to rise and come to temperature.

2. Preheat the Huntsman®

Arrange the Jealous Devil charcoal around the outside of the ceramic pizza stone to create an even heat zone.

Set your Huntsman® to 500°F, close the lid, and allow the grill and pizza oven attachment to come fully up to temperature. Once it reaches 500°F, let it hold there for at least 15 minutes before cooking.

Give the stone time to heat thoroughly—it’s an essential part of getting that crispy bottom crust.

3. Stretch the dough

Lightly flour your work surface and place the dough on it.

Using your fingertips, gently press outward from the center, leaving a thicker edge for the crust. Flip the dough and repeat.

Then lift the dough with your hands or closed fists and gently rotate it, letting its weight help stretch it into a round pizza.

4. Add your toppings

Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, then add shredded mozzarella, pepperoni, and diced jalapeños.

Lightly brush the exposed crust with olive oil.

5. Cook the pizza

Carefully transfer the pizza onto the preheated ceramic pizza stone.

Close the lid and cook for approximately 7–9 minutes, or until the crust is toasted and the cheese is melted and bubbling.

Check it toward the end of the cook. Dough thickness and grill conditions can affect timing, so use the crust and cheese as your final guide.

6. Finish with hot honey and Parmesan

Remove the pizza and immediately drizzle it generously with Melinda’s Hot Honey. Finish with a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese.

Slice and serve while it’s hot.

Bring the Heat to Game Day

Crispy crust, melted cheese, pepperoni, and jalapeños deliver the savory heat. Hot honey ties it all together with a sweet finish that keeps you reaching for another slice.

Fire up the Huntsman®, get your toppings ready, and make pizza part of your game day lineup.
