Scientifically designed, the Venom uses PID temperature control and a built-in fan to accurately regulate the temperature of your charcoal from 175F to 550F.  Enjoy peace of mind on your low and slow brisket or quickly get to high heat grilling with the help of the Venom. 

Use the Spider Grills app (iPhone and Android) to remotely monitor and adjust temperature of your kettle from anywhere.

Please note that the Venom is only compatible with grills that use the Weber One-Touch Cleaning system, and is not compatible with Weber Ranch Kettle Grill or Weber Smokey Mountain Kettle Grill. The Spider Venom model is currently only available in the US and requires a 2.4ghz Wi-Fi connection for connectivity. Kettle Grill not included.

With the addition of the Venom 26" Conversion Clips, now the Weber 26" Kettle Grill is supported as well.

Not a fan

So far, have given the unit 7 tries. Have watched numerous YouTube videos and given it my best attempts. I’m truly not impressed. One problem is that, watching the videos shows that the screen that displays temps etc, is bright and easy to read. Not so! Not bright at all. I’m glad others swear by it but for me, I’ll spend my money on newer technology as it evolves.

Weber kamado w/ venom

Simply amazing, it’s like a cheat code for any cook. I have the Weber Kamado E6, popped the old ash catcher off & installed the Venom without taking apart the kamado. Simply moved the ash sweep handle to the left side (so I could mount the Venom facing forward) & had to use a rubber mallet to tap the venom into place on the last tab (that was the only part that was hard) but understandable because I want that sealed tight. Buy with confidence and never have to second guess the vents… Again, VENOM = CHEAT CODE FOR GRILLING!!!!!

So far, it’s working just as advertised. Really great product.

I haven’t done a low and slow yet, but I will be soon.

Great Producy

I have been using the Spider Controller for 2 seasons now. It is Awesome. I love to grill on Charcoal, although I do grill on propane as well. I live in NH, so temp. can be an issue while grilling. I usually cook Ribs, or Brisket. The Spider Controller has yet to disappoint me. Regardless of the outside temperature this unit has Always come through. I usually do not write reviews, but yesterday while cooking ribs, I had to comment on this product. This machine is Amazing. If I didn't have it, I would make a small adjustment to the Weber, and have to wait 10 -15 minutes for that adjustment to kick in, Not with The Spider. You set it and that's all you do (kinda takes the fun out of grilling), but the end result is Outstanding, especially here in NH, where temp could be an issue. The one thing I need to do is get together with the Verizon guy to get my router to 2.4., so I can use the phone app. I did buy the Battery Pack, such a Great Buy. No more dragging out cords for power. Anyway, I love your product and it works well. I would like to find more Recipes, and how to cook them.

Network issues

My first cook was for 12 hours and the venom performed well. The next cook went poorly. I could not connect to the venom. After many attempts to reconnect to the network, I took my entire Weber kettle inside, set up a guessing network that only broadcasts 2.4 GHz And got the kettle reconnected. I submitted a ticket but the only response I received was “did you get it connected“.
